Who we are

BDS Manufacturing is a trademark of Bhagwan Dass & Sons Fastners Pvt. Ltd. (CIN U27320HR2017PTC070838). We decide how the personal data described here is used, which makes us its controller (a "data fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023).

What we collect

• Details you send us through the contact form or by email: your name, email address, phone number, company, your message, and any drawings or files you attach.
• Technical data that our hosting provider processes to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request.
• Preferences stored on your own device: your language choice and your cookie choice.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build visitor profiles.

How we use it

• To answer your enquiry, review your drawings and prepare quotations.
• To manage an ongoing customer or supplier relationship.
• To run, secure and improve the website.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We never sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Legal basis

We process enquiry data because you asked us to respond and because we have a legitimate interest in handling business enquiries, and where it leads to an order, to perform the contract. Optional third-party content, such as Google Maps, loads only with your consent. Some records are kept because the law requires it.

For visitors in the European Union or the United Kingdom, these correspond to the GDPR bases of steps before a contract, legitimate interests, consent and legal obligation. In India, we process personal data on the basis of your consent or the legitimate uses permitted by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who we share it with

• Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers this website.
• Web3Forms, which delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
• Our email service provider, which stores the correspondence.
• Google, only if you choose to load the map on the contact page.
• Group companies, logistics partners and professional advisers, only where needed to handle your enquiry or order.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Each provider processes data on our behalf under its own contractual and security commitments.

International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside India or outside your country, for example in the United States or the European Union. Where that happens we rely on the provider's contractual safeguards for international transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as we need it to handle your enquiry and any business that follows, and for as long as the law requires us to keep business records. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period. Preferences on your device stay until you clear them, and we ask for your cookie choice again after 12 months.

Your rights

• Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
• Ask us to correct or complete it.
• Ask us to delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
• Withdraw consent at any time, for example through Cookie settings.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and ask for your data in a portable format (GDPR).
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights, and raise a grievance with us (DPDP Act).

To use any of these rights, email us with the subject "Privacy". We will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority, or in India to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

The website is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to enquiry data is limited to the people at BDS who need it to do their work.

Children

This website is for business customers. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
